Springfest

Held the last Saturday in April from 10am to 4pm – free to attend, both sides of Broad Street is blocked off for 2 blocks.  Join us for arts, crafts, games, rides, food, entertainment, and more!  We host over 100 vendors from all around North Carolina and the country.  Enjoy beautiful artwork and crafts including paintings, jewelry, metal art, photography, woodwork, designs from nature, and other amazing creations.  We welcome many types of vendors, please contact us if you would like to be a part of our annual tradition!  This event is held in conjunction with the Tour de Moore.

Annual Sidewalk Sale

July – This one day event is sure to please all shoppers!  Downtown Southern Pines shops will offer great deals on clearance and end of season items!

First Fridays

First Fridays of the month from May – October – SPBA is a sponsor of these free events featuring music, food, & beverages!  Held in the grassy area next to Sunrise Theater.  For more information, visit: firstfridaysouthernpines.com

Summerfest

Held in July or August annually – This event is usually from 3pm until 8pm and held in the park in downtown Southern Pines between East Pennsylvania & East New York Avenues.  Free to attend!   This carnival-type event includes rides, music, magician, kid-friendly vendors, games, food, face painting & more!  Visit with our annual guests of honor for this event, US Kids Golf!

Holiday Events

Downtown Southern Pines is hustling & bustling from Thanksgiving to New Year’s with many events, activities, entertainment, & shopping opportunities!
Every weekend we host events including:

• Parade of Trees – We have over 55 trees decorated & lining our streets downtown.  Beautifully decorated by individuals, shop owners, businesses, & other organizations.
• Holiday Open House – Enjoy a stroll down our streets & into our shops!  We offer food, entertainment, decorations, & a great chance to get that shopping started!
• Carriage Parade – Great fun & unique!  We welcome everyone to enjoy the beautifully clad people, carriages, & horses!  Sure to get you into the spirit!
• Talking Tree – Will definitely make you look twice when this Christmas tree starts talking to you!  Fun for all, especially the kids!
• Holiday Parade – Southern Pines knows how to put on a parade!  We have high school bands, college bands, dance teams, floats, fire trucks, antique cars, Misses & Princesses, political representatives, etc…. & of course, Santa Clause!!! Download your application here.
• First Eve – Our annual New Year’s Eve celebration!  On the streets downtown, this event is a family festival with a mock countdown at 8pm!  Join us for music, entertainment, food, New Year’s decor, & more!
